Charging trailer while connected to TV

If the trailer is plugged into shore power and is also connected to Tow Vehicle does that provide the ability to simultaneously charge the TV battery? Does it prevent any draw from the TV battery?

It depends on the tow vehicle. Many have charge lines that are always live, some have relays that disengage the charge line when the engine is off.

If you switch to using lithium batteries and a lithium charger then this is actually something you want to avoid, you want to avoid over charging your TV battery for the opposite problem. But as overlander63 states, it really depends on the tow vehicle on if the charge circuitry is always connected or not, there is nothing in the circuitry to prevent power flowing the "wrong direction".

as others have posted elsewhere, i got a victron orion DC-DC converter.

that ensures both one way feed and that the output is suitable for Lion
