Question Charging time for battery while towing

I haven't done much "dry" camping as of yet, but will shortly.

My question is: How many hours of driving per day at 55mph does it take to recharge the batteries?

I leaving for Oregon the end of Feb and will be traveling through TX, NM, AZ & NV. I'll probably be using the furnace every night, a light or two and an exhaust fan for either showering or cooking.

Tks- John

It will depend on alternator output, how much load (headlights, wipers, heater, refrigerator, etc.) and how much discharge. Even a fairly small alternator with a moderate load should recharge them in 4-5 hours.
