Question Champion Inverter Generator

Looking to purchase a generator for a little boon docking. I have a 2017 19Ft Flying cloud, 30 Amp. Have been looking at 'Champion Power Equipment 200988 4500-Watt Dual Fuel RV Ready Portable Inverter Generator, Electric Start' for around $950. Any opinions on size and make/model would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, James

Champion Inverter Generator

My opinion is that it is heavy to lug around @100lbs but will power your trailer no problem. Champion seems to have a solid following. Probably a little more output than you really need @3500w continuous output for a single AC 19’, but then again every 1000’ of elevation will reduce output by 3% if you plan to travel out west. Price is right

Those specs are hard to beat for <$1000 buckos if it lasts. Propane certainly eliminates all the problems with carburetor maintenance.

I own the gasoline powered version of that generator and it’s fantastic. It’s quiet and it works well. As wulfraat said, it’s a bit heavy but only six lbs. heavier than the 3,400W model. It easily powers my 30A system, even in high altitudes. I added the carburetor jet for 6,000+ feet of elevation, and the unit runs smoothly. Remote start is a great feature too!

I own the Champion 2400. Runs one AC with EasyStart. The generator starts on the first pull. Dual fuel. Quiet. 40 lbs I think. Plenty of generator but without the weight.
