Time to replace that detector, assuming it only runs on batteries...if not:
If the batteries only back it up, and it's powered from another source, like the 120 volt AC or
12 volt DC supply, make sure the supply is good to the detector.
If the detector does not have its normal power source, I can understand only two weeks on batteries...
