Can someone ID this switch?

I have a 2006 19' Bambi Int'l CCD and I have a mystery switch that I cannot ID. Nor can the dealer who I bought it from. This switch sits to the left of the door entrance above the fire extinguisher and I have no idea what it is for...when we are out camping I keep the switch up...and the light in the switch is on and bright red...if I turn it off then the light glows a softer red...but it doesn't appear to DO anything...does anyone know what it does?

Suspect this is the refrigerator fan switch. Have a 2007 20' Safari and mine is located just inside the door on the left side however mine is labeled as to what it is. If this isn't the answer I don't have a clue.

I would also say it is the refrigerator fan switch. It's exactly where mine is in my 2005 Bambi. The fan is thermostatically controlled and won't switch on unless it reaches a preset temperature in the reefer compartment.

addendum to original post

I forgot to mention that I have a solar panel on top....I don't think that the switch is related but I thought maybe I should add this info. I traced the solar wiring harness from the roof through the closet and down into the area near the fresh water storage tank where the control module is mounted. From there it goes directly to the batteries and no where near the mystery switch.

Because this is an 06, the FCE (or flux capacitor excitor) was replaced by an internal Positron Thermal Conductor or PTC which is slightly more energy efficient and attractve as well. But thanks for that anyway.

Thanks for your help!
Try contacting Jackson Center. I'm sure they will know what it is.

That switch is most definitely the refer fan switch. As SilverRanger noted, it's wired to a thermostatic switch, so unless the refer is fired up the switch will have no effect.

To check it for yourself, fire up your refer for an hour or so. Once the plumbing is warmed up enough, you'll get an indicator light in that switch when operated, and you'll hear the roar of the factory cooling fan...then you'll want to do a search for "refrig fan noise" on these forums to find out the ways you can quiet that beast down. Seriously.

Cheers,
-jd.

Thumbs up reefer fan

jd thanks....I have noticed that an indicator light DOES go on after I have been plugged in or charged up a while....but I have NEVER heard the fan running whether the switch was toggled up or down...which now makes me think that I either have the quietest fan ever...or it isn't working.....I am going to poke around in there and see if it is plugged in etc etc.....and check the fuse box also....thanks for the info !
