Breakaway and Power Jack ‘70s

The original breakaway is toast. I am putting a similar two wired metal one on. It is wired to the same hot and ground as the jack. What am I missing? Is the jack scabbed into the brake wires? There are no other wires to be found in the A frame. A hot and a neutral.

Yes, breakaway switch and tongue jack use the same circuit. The jack is fused. The breakaway switch is not.

Thanks! That’s how I wired it! It feels good to have confirmation
