Battery Disconnect Removal

I have a master battery switch in my TT that turns off everything including parasitic loads. Do I still need the OEM Battery Disconnect or can I remove it?

Are you referring to the Use/Store switch and associated relay?

I kept mine. It just gives you more options.

With our Classic you can have the U/S in the store mode and still have 120v in the trailer and charge the batts.

Yes. All it does is disconnect the DC panel which is why you still have parasitic loads. It just seems redundant to me.

Like Bob says, you can disconnect your battery even when you're connected to shore power. This might be useful if you intend to be connected to shore power for an extended period and perhaps you don't want to risk overcharging your battery from your single-stage converter.
