android app can see replaced victron MPPT system

my system was a

• Battle Born Lion 100AH battery,
• victron bmv 712,
• victron mppt 100/30 solar controller, and a
• victron colour display
• the colour display could see both the mppt and the bmv
• the android apps could see both
• the VRM portal; sees both

the MPPT was defective and replaced.
with the new MMPT controller
the colour display could see both the mppt and the bmv
the android apps could only ONLY the BMV
the VRM portal sees both

the android victron app recsan does not find the mppt
remove the old bluetooth pair for the old mppt
bluetooth search does not see the new MPPT
restart phone and bluetooth , still no mppt found
go back into victron app now mppt found

remove app and reinstall

still no mppt

how can i get the app to find the mppt
that is the only means to set the lion settings

please advise if anyone knows how to get the mppt back on the victron Android app

until i do so, i cant get it to be configure it correctly to work the BB LiOn battery

p.s i tried to post this on the victron blog support page, but after 4 days, the moderator still has not approved the posting

Hi

Fully power down the MPPT ( disconnect all the wires ). Let it sit for a bit. Then hook up only the battery side. Try the Bluetooth and see what you get. If still no MPPT ... your second unit is probably defective (or it's a Blue Solar and not the Smart Solar version).

One other thing you can try: See if you can get the BMV to connect to the MPPT via Bluetooth. You can't run that way all the time, but it would be another way to check the Bluetooth stuff.
