advice on finding an electrician .. :)

hi all, can anyone suggest an electrician or AS enthusiast in the San Jose Bay Area? I'm actually in the Santa Cruz. Need advice on my '72 Sov .. there is something just not right with the electrics. i really need hands on help in diagnosing the issue, I had a local RV repair guy install a new Progressive Dynamics power converter .. (just to back up, I'm very new to this whole vintage trailer thing!) . .. it was a real challenge to get it working, in the end they ran a new cable from power converter straight to the battery. the original wiring seemed to be shorting out or something, all good with lights working & AC running, battery charges etc etc. BUT ! the power converter is running very hot and humming, manufacture says not normal ... afraid that something just isn't right here ... any thoughts ? really need hands on help here, i'm not an electrician or super handyman type ...

thanks

I you have a good battery? A shorted cell could cause that.. Good luck!
