Question 77 Excella Switch and Plug

Hey Everybody,

I ran across a switch which I have no idea what it is for , also there is a plug in module coming out of a hole where it looks like this switch may go.

The hole missing the switch is all the way forward on the curb side just above the porch light switch.

If any one could give me a clue I sure would appreciate it. I looked at the maual but it is kind of confusing , because they are showing an international also.

Thanks,
Robin Stone

Auto Skyliner was an optional electric TV antenna. It can raise, lower and turn the antenna from that panel. It is missing the 4 amp fuse.

You've uncovered one of the Excella 500 upgrades from this late 70's era! It's a motorized TV antenna. The switch was used to raise/lower and rotate the antenna. From what I've heard, the outside parts of the antenna were failure prone. We still have a control panel in our '78XLA500 the antenna was replaced with a manual Braud Skyliner.

Switch and plug

Thanks Richard and Dallas , I probably would have never known what that switch was with out your reply. I believe the PO has already put up a manual antenna , and it's already stuck.

Does anyone else might know where or what that harness goes to ?
I'm thinking it may have something to do with the stereo which is also missing.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Again,
Robin Stone

Please don't any body answer that last question , sometimes I'm so crazy I amaze myself.
After I got to checking I saw where tht plug went into that switch , I also pryed the tambour back on the front left side and dicovered where the stereo connections were.

Thanks,
Robin Stone
