'68 Sovereign Land Yacht mystery wires

We are restoring a 1968 Sovereign land yacht and are using as much original stuff as we can. We figured out the switch next to the entry door that had been wired into a dead short, after we rewired, it worked and now the kitchen overhead light comes on when this switch is flipped.

But as we were checking bottom front area, close to the pull out steps, we came across a wire coming all the way through the underbelly and going nowhere, would it be a possibility that this wiring went to some type of electric leveling system or have something to do with the hitching system?? Just a guess, there's not much else missing on the outside around the door area. We've gotten all the external lights working as they should, just not sure why there would be a wire running out through the belly of the camper.

If any others out there have seen this or are familiar with the underbelly of the 68 sovereign, then I know they will probably know what this wiring could be for.

Thanks
Laurie B
