63 bambi...help me?

i am a new owner of a 1963 bambi, and it is not in such good coniditon. it doesnt look like its been used in twenty years. i plugged the cord from the trailer into an outlet in my house, and tested one of the electrical inputs in the galley, near the sink. to my surprise, it did work. however....i don't really know much about electrical systems/wiring, and maybe there would be problems if i tried to plug in more than one thing at the same time? what should i do to make sure my electrical system is sound, if that involves calling a pro im up for for that. if i need to get an electrician though, should it be one who is knowledgeable in airstreams specifically or trailers, and if so where might i find an airstream savvy electrician? thanks..

Congrats, roadtrip! You have a terrific trailer to play around with! Everything you need to know about electrical can be found here on the forums if you spend enough time reading, and then you just have to dive in & get hands-on familiar with your baby!

I'm at that stage, too, kind of walking around picking at window pieces & wondering what's behind the little doors here & there. Oh yeah, and how you charge the dang thing after you've sat inside drinking beer for a couple of nights but after that have to do it in the dark!
