50 Amp, 30 Amp, 50 Amp, 30 Amp....

Trying to find a power cord without a dog bone that would have a 50 Amp female end that hooks onto my AS that then has a 30 Amp male end to hook into 30 Amp Surge protector then into parks electrical supply.

Please if possible include web links to your favorite one.

I am having a real hard time finding such a power cord without using a dog bone.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!

50 Amp, 30 Amp, 50 Amp, 30 Amp....

Make one?

Butcher an inexpensive 30 amp cord and put a replacement female 50 amp end on it. Jump both hot leads together in the female end and there you go.

Connectors are standard and available on Amazon, amongst other vendors.

Ask WConley

He posted a photo of a 30 amp cord with a 50 amp female trailer connector in another thread on the same topic,
Nice picture
No link to his source however.

Hi

If you have a 50A external EMS, then why not rig a 30A to 50A EMS cord? That way you don't have to haul both a 50A and a 30A unit around .... The basic connectors involved should be on the shelf at Lowes or Home Depot. If not there, your local electrical supply house definitely will have then.

If you're only concerned about a plan for power availability, i.e., 50A receptacle to 15/20A which is available at most RV park poles (standard 15/20A service): try this at Amazon...>>>>>
Parkworld 691715 Shore Power Adapter Regular 15A 5-15P Male Plug to Marine 50A SS2-50R Female (Two hots bridged) with Locking Ring (about 20 bucks)

Of course, then you would need to haul a standard 15/20A power cord, but the adapter is a 'shorty'. I carry one (along w/ an extension cord) in case I get marooned at someone's house w/o a 50A service box. (Hey daughter and brother-in-law listen up.)
