4" round tail lights

I bought new lens because the old ones were so cloudy, well now I need housings too (just the black round metal part that the lens screws into and hold the socket). I think I can get some 1156 and 1157 sockets and get by, but would like to fix, replace, upgrade while I'm in there. Searched the forum and didnt find any replacements. This is on my 69 overlander.

Camperski,
I believe those buckets are very similar to the old lights used on some trucks back in the 50's and 60's. Maybe find an old auto parts store and see what they can come up with. NAPA might be able to help you out. I haven't gotten quite as far along on mine so I am not sure what the light cans look like.

Think maybe they are repairable? Here's what I did to mine:

Camper-

Was it the Dremel or the beer that make it work?

beer as a coolant - not for the Dremel action - for the operator.

ok we got the camper out this past weekend for the first time, and I forgot to empty the trash before we got to the state park. my wife was more than embarassed when the trash "clinked" into the rangers truck the next morning. I tried to explain that it was for the good of the taillights......she's not buying!
