1958 Overlander - 30amp plug-in question
I just bought a '58 Overlander that's supposed to have a 30amp 110v umbillical with male plugs on either end. I didn't get an umbillical with the trailer, unfortunately. I can make a new plug, that's the easy part.
This pic shows the female plug on my Overlander and it's obviously not OEM. Where can I buy a covered 30amp female plug for my Overlander? My local well-stocked RV parts store doesn't sell them. I'm also curious what others have done for this and if they have pics they can share.
Thanks...

Nearly all of us vintage folk are using the Marinco shore power recepticle and cord. They are beutiful polished stainless steel and very robust. Vintage trailer supply had the best price on them when I purchased mine last summer.

Excellent! Thanks, Dave. This is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, VTS is sold out (I like to support them as much as possible) but Amazon.com has both the inlet and the cord in stock. The cost for the inlet is actually less than VTS.

Do NOT use a double male!!!!!!
There is a great risk of electrocution.
If it pulls out of the trailer first it will inlighten you to that fact.

They were sold out when I bought mine too, but they still shipped it within a week.
