120 Volt outlets w/USB ports

I am in the phase of running new wire (120 and 12 volt) within the Bambi II and starting to seal things up...insulation, inner skin, etc.

We recently found these 120 volt outlets with USB ports built in for charging 12 volt accessories (cell phones, tablets, etc):

https://www.energyavenue.com/Electri...WQf91A1V_D_BwE

I have run a bunch of 12 volt wiring...and now I am wondering if I need so much if I decide instead to install several of these outlets. I will still definitely run 12 volt leads and have some 12 volt charging stations...and of course the 12 volt lighting, etc. that was standard anyway.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone used these special outlets? It seems to me that these will make wiring more simple and we usually camp with electrical hookups anyway.

you are better off charging with a 12 volt USB then a 110 volt if your are planning on doing off grid camping due to the parasitic draw of the 110V...
Hope that helps!

I do use them because I spend much more time hooked up to the power grid than off grid. However I have plenty of 12v plugs too.

Get the depth measurement. The walls are only 1.5" thick. I was able to install in the twin bed nightstand because I had three inches behind the face of the wood panel the outlet was attached to.
