12 volt question

I replaced one of those combination 12v/110ac light fixtures with a 110 only fixture. What do I do with the 12 volt lines that fed that fixture? There were two wires going in on twelve volt side. Hot and ground I assume. Can I just cap them and stuff in ceiling or will that effect something downstream? Thanks.

Just cut off any bare wire, tape them up, particularly the hot wire, and stuff them. No problems downstream.

Tape them up means separately, not together.
