I'm excited about joining this community of travelers. I live in Richmond, Virginia and am looking for a used airstream trailer. I am approaching retirement and have been educating myself about choices. I have concluded that an airstream is the way to go! It seems there are few available used on the east coast. For ease of towing, 25 ft. is a safe length. Any suggestions for this first timer? Thank you in advance for your hospitality. Karen

Welcome to the forums Karen!

Hope you find what you are looking for...one idea would be to stop by a local rally to check out lots of different models, ages and layouts to narrow down your search. Then be prepared for a road trip to go get one if you can't find one locally. By going to a rally, you will meet people who have Airstreams and 'put the word out' that you're looking. Alot of pristine units sell by word of mouth...soooo, what better way to get in the loop than to meet people that already have them? Get them involved in your search! You never know...

Also check the classifieds section here on the forums (tab at the top) and local dealerships. Good luck in your search...have fun!

Shari

Waltero, thank you for answering. I had thought that I would like to have one younger that 88'; however, if it is in excellent condition (shell and interior), I would be interested in seeing some pictures. I am not interested in a renovation. Thank you for your interest in my request. Karen

Thank you for your suggestions. I really want to shout it from the rooftop, once the decision has been made, "where is that AS for me". ...25 ft, twin beds. 88' or younger. Please pass the word on, I'm looking. I will implement your suggestions. See you out there! Karen
