Where do I get Walbernize?
Hi there! I am so excited, we finally got an airstream after searching for the perfect one for 2 years!
Anyway, the previous owner gave us a 1/2 full bottle of Walbernize and I have used it up and need more! I don't want to be without it. Does anyone know where I can get it in So. California?
I have checked several websites, but shipping costs more than the product itself! I also tried emailing the company and they never responded, and called several RV suppliers (including Camping World), and they've never heard of it!

Authorized Airstream dealers will almost certainly have it, if you're at all close.
Aside from that, I'll bet Mr. Amazon would fetch it for you, too.
Good luck!

What is Walbernize? I've never heard of it and am curious as to it's use.

Walbernize is a Airstream product which was designed for use on trailers back in the days Airstream was applying the coating - roughly before 2000. On trailers made since then good quality automotive clear coat products are what you should be using. However if you insist on Walbernize you can buy it from the Airstream Store.

Wrong I used Walbernize in 50s or 60s that I pur. local auto parts store, it and simonize were big sellers then , blue coral later, Walbernize was not designed strictly for AS trailers and 1950s was a lot longer ago than 2000.

Griot's stuff....
IMHO....don't waste your money.
A good quality PAINT SEALER will work much better and last longer.
The ONE STEP is also good for swirl marks & cleaning.
All their products are first rate, The MOPSTICK is also real handy.

skylights?
From what little knowledge I have, I'm told my 2005 Classic has what is called "Plasticoat", not clear coat, and that the Walbernize is the way to go.
I did one polishing job with the Walbernize and it looked great and was pretty easy - yes, I am a girl! I didn't have to bother with any of my husbands polishing machines or anything!
I also climbed up on the roof and fixed a leak in the bathroom fan, but our trailer is from Arizona and from being in that extreme heat all the sealant is completely cracked (spider-webbed) and needs to be redone. There are 2 skylights that I'm afraid to tackle, for some reason, they were installed and then a clear plastic overlay was put over the "goop" and screws drilled through it with more goop on top. There is no way to get to the goop underneath the plastic, so I'm guessing I'll have to take it somewhere and the plastic will have to be removed and replaced. I don't know why they are installed like that.....any suggestions?

Here is a video on Walbernize that some RV shop put up on YouTube. I use it on mine. Highly recommended...

Good morning all... I'm a newb with a 2000 Excella 34ft. I'm planning to clean and polish the AS as soon as I get it relocated to it's semi permanent parking spot by the river 8-) I've been going thru a ton of posts on internet and most seem to point to Walbernize as a great product for it but quite a few say automotive products work great as well... I've got a couple of areas on the front top of it that are an opaque color..Is this the plasticoat failing or will the Walbernize actually bring back shine to those areas as well? on those specific areas if it doesn't bring back shine, should I polish with something else? strip that area and polish with the other type of Walbernize for earlier ASs?
Thanks for the input.
