We've taken the plunge and are under contract to purchase a 2014.5 Airstream Interstate EXT. I realize that most of my posts and reading will be over in the Sprinter B sub-forum but I thought I'd introduce ourselves here too.
We are Dad, Mom, and 2 daughters (12 & 8). I am a stay at home Dad and we are planning a full summer on the road in 2015 driving to the west coast (family in CA and OR) and back to see some of this great country and friends in between. We're also College Football fans and plan to use it for tailgating as well. In addition we will be using it for weekend get a ways etc.
Some may ask why not a C or small A. instead of a B. Well size was one consideration, driving comfort and mobility was another. We decided that at least for the first few years of RV ownership, we would be nimble and quick, relatively. Our trip across the country will be a combination of camping visiting and of course the occasional motel/hotel night for laundry and LONG hot shower

We take delivery in a couple of weeks and will use it as a people mover over the winter as we get to know the systems (except plumbing). We live in Central NJ, anyone else from aroud here?
