My wife and I just recently purchased a 1976 24' Argosy. Who doesn't love a great project, eh? We're used to doing rental properties, so how hard could a trailer rehab be...........Ahhhhaaahhaa.
Inside had been totally gutted except still having all the interior walls, and subfloor. The subfloor did not go under the C channel necessarily so it made it easier to pull up to inspect the trailer frame. Fortunately, the frame is in pretty good shape. I do have a few outriggers that need help and want to do some additional strengthening. New axles have been ordered from Inland RV, as the one on it are original, yay!
Looking forward to getting started on this in earnest after one of our rental properties gets a redo here in a couple months, and have this puppy ready for the road next summer. We don't want to go crazy with it, but I am obsessive when it comes to research. Better to learn from you crazy people's successes and failures first, right?
Looking forward to adding to the discussion here when I am more knowledgeable, and asking all the dumb questions that I can't find from searching the forums.
