We picked up our baby!

Hey again y'all! We are officially in possession of an Airstream! We drove from our home in Nashville to Albuquerque to pick her up and couldn't be more pleased! We stopped in 3 places on the way home to try her out and we loved it! Can't wait to get back out on the road! Here are some pics of our 2015 Bambi Sport 22 on our trip back home. . . I've always liked the simple rear end of the Sport trailers. The single round lights with visors over them look great. I love the way the bellywrap and trim run seemlessly unobtrusively around the back...no bumper to get in the way of the pure design. Sports are more "classic" Airstream in that they are not as wide as the other current Airstreams (not nearly as portly as the current so-called "Classic"). The Sport trailers always have clever interiors as well...just wish they'd put a window in the door. That's the only "wrong" design element.

I'd get a better name than something rote like "Penny Lane." Try something original and less cringe-worthy.

...and don't put up a plastic pink bird in your campsite. Some things are just a bit played out.

Looks like you're having a good first trip! Even the hitch looks reasonably-well set up.

Good travels!

Good God...are you serious???? Tires, tow vehicles and hitches are one thing...but now someone is telling a new member that the name they chose for their trailer sucks? Well now I've seen it all on here BTW glad you approve that the hitch appears to be 'reasonably' set up. EYE ROLL.

Stillwater: gorgeous rig, and CONGRATS! I did a long drive to get mine as well. So fun.

Name her whatever you want and if you like flamingos...go for it! You'll find this forum to be a welcoming place with excellent advice and answers to questions as you learn about your Airstream. Just don't take some of the blow-hard know-it-alls too seriously.

Congratulations on y'all's new Airstream. "Penny Lane" is a great name! It's my wife's favorite Beatles song because it's such a happy song! Enjoy!!

Thank you all for being so supportive and kind. I named her Penny Lane because it's the name of Kate Hudson's character in my favorite movie "Almost Famous " which is about a band (named Stillwater [emoji16]) on tour. I love the song too! I didn't think it was that bad...and the pink bird thing never crossed my mind [emoji3]

Wow! Whodathunk "Penny Lane" would be related in any way to a band called STILLWATER of all things???

Disturbing on more than one level...

I'm fairly certain that rarestream was being sarcastic, however flat it fell.

But who knows.

Nice trailer, happy trails.

congrats, you'll love it

one of the best things about owning an Airstream is the people we meet, the places we go, and excitement of the next adventure. As soon as one ends, we are planning the next, we love it.
