Tow Vehicle

Wife & I recently retired . Bought a 2016 Flying Cloud 19 ft . We have a 2015 Grande Cherokee Jeep 6 cylinder we plan to use as TV .
The idea to be as nimble as possible in out of the way camping places. And as economical as possible .
Any words of wisdom from those all ready on the road ?
Jeep hitch rated 650 lbs
AS is 550

Jeep rated at 6200 lbs gross
AS is 4500 lbs gross

Looking forward to your advise !

Take a trip to CanAm RV and make sure your hitch is setup right before you pull it. Make sure you book in advance as they are extremely busy.

Congratulations on your retirement! You dont say if you have camped before so if you have or not we do a lot of dry camping and use state parks or national parks and that will keep costs down in our experience. Read everything given to you from the AS owners manual to the hitch you bought. Make sure you have it adjusted correctly. You can do it yourself. Drive the combination and if it feels fine to you then drive on if not make the nesessary adjustments and drive the combination again. Read your owners manual. Which hitch brand did you buy?

Nice combination, put a lot of emphasis on the weight distribution/sway control hitch and proper setup, fully one-third of the rig's success.
