May look a little worn, but it looks like the interior is complete, and the outside just needs a little elbow grease.

I think you got a good deal and hope you enjoy it a lot.

Katzklaw, are you planning to pull it back from TN? Or are you taking a flat bed? If the former make sure you do all the right stuff before attempting to take her on the highway. Be safe and we'll be looking for the cleaned up version photos. From the shine on the door it may clean up very nicely.
Welcome to the forums you've found the right place and the right folks to help with your new find.

we were gonna pull her home. i know my truck is ready, but what should i do to check the trailer? i know better than to try to haul something on an 8 hour trip if the tires look like they"re gonna fall off or something like that... but what else should i be looking out for?

Have a spare tire or 2 if you can.

Make certain you have the correct plug in for the brakes/lights, the last one I bought had a round pin that was not compatible to my truck.

I bring a compressor with me, just in case. Dunage to drive the tires on to change a flat (or a bottle jack)

Duct Tap, ya never know what might come loose?

Wire ties, had loose brake wires once.

If you do not have a key for the door, a wedge to fit in the handle next to the door is good insurance.

Good Luck!

Check wheel bearings

What balgrn said. I would also find out how long it's been since the wheel bearings have been packed. You may want to do that too.

Good luck with your Airstream. The folks here are tons of help.

By the way, if the serial number shown in the ebay listing is correct - your unit is a 64 not a 63 as was stated in the listing. Here is a site you may find useful scroll down to the bottom and check out the vintage photos - they are a lot of help.

Ganglin is right. Looks like a '64...same molded/integrated "airliner-style" bath as in our GT. This was a feature introduced in the '64 model year, if it's an early-64 it could have been made in '63 though. Regardless, looks like you have fun performing it's makeover...and we'll have fun watching! Post progress pics along the way ~

thanks for the info! very interesting stuff. also.. would anyone happen to have any idea what kind of electrical connections i can expect to find? my truck has the dodge factory tow package with a modern 7 pin connector, and i'm pretty sure i'm not gonna find that when i reach Tennessee! I'll be pulling out tomorrow in the am, and probly lay eyes on it early Wednesday.
