Took the plunge!!!!

Just bought a '73 Argosy 24. Bought it site unseen as it was pretty far away. Asked a friend to go look at it and he reported it in servicable condition so he bought it and kept it for me. Owner had replaced HW heater, fridge and front couch, then decided to give it up for a motorhome. Got a decent price judging by other ads, etc. Really just wanted something I could both use for weekending, etc., as well as play with refurbishing. Have done renovation/remodeling of old houses etc., but this is my first experience with a trailer.

Picked it up weekend before last and traveled around for week on a shake-down cruise. Found a few issues for which I will be looking for help on other threads. Nothing too serious so far...

Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi". Looks like a good forum. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you.

Bought a 78, 24ft Argosy about 18 months ago. Have had a great time re-doing it. Ours was in good shape with mostly original equipment. Have replaced the water heater, A/C, Univolt and have an extra frig in the front. The original frig still works well, but wanted a back up for camping. We have the front sofa, so there is plenty of room for the new frig and microwave sitting on top of it. Hope you enjoy your Argosy as much as we enjoy ours. Any help we can give you, just ask.
