Title Search

Hi, I''m new at this! I'm trying to obtain a title for my parents, now mine by inheritance, 1965 Caravel. They are the original owners, both deceased, and I have no paperwork on it. We contacted Airstream and that path led to info that the records for that period of time were destroyed, by "natural disaster" if I recall correctly. It was bought in Kansas and now resides in South Carolina. I've talked with DMV in SC and KS and keep running into dead ends. Any ideas?

Are you the Executor/trix? If so, you may want to contact Broadway Title in Atlanta, Georgia (I think) and ask them what they suggest. They can provide titles for vehicles (for a fee). I had an Airstream I purchased without a title and Broadway was able to get me a title from another state which I used to transfer it to PA.

was it ever insured? the agent might have info on files that shows some history. contact the agency that does titles where it was owned with the VIN number. they should be able to help you.
