My wife and I purchased our most recent airstream a 25 foot front bedroom so that we could travel to visit our daughter and son in law in San Francisco. One reason we have an airstream is to take the dogs. We started with our two dogs Ralph an old 140 pound lab and Buxton a female chesapeake bay, Our christmas card last year featured Ralph in the door of our airstream. In may Ralph got sick and died so we are down to one dog. This year we went coast to coast spending two and a half months on the west coast(Washington, Oregon and California) and a month on the east coast primarily Virginia and North Carolina, Buxton is named for the city in North Carolina where the Cape Hattaras light house is located. This was a great travel year and we are already looking forward to 2008 We enjoy the silver dog palace.
Welcome to the forums and congrats on the purchase!!
We also airstream with our "girls"...
Now Here's a DogStream.... The lights do work. It was built for a charity auction by a homebuilder up in Ft Worth. It went to a private airstreaming family, but have since changed hands and now owned by Roger Williams Airstream in Weatherford.
Sorry for the bad pics, it was getting dark and alcohol was involved...
