The Right Combination

Having Set The Anchor For The Last Time Prior To Hurricane Ivan. My Beloved Wife And I Have Decided To Venture Down The Highways Of Our Beautiful Country. I Am A Minimalist By Heart, My Wife Would Like To Bring Everything And Two Kitchen Sinks By Nature. Having Looked At Travel Trailers, 5th Wheelers, Class C's Etc. It Has Become Apparent In Order To Keep My Wife Happy The Towning Rigs Would Have To Be Larger The Longer Her Wish List Gets.
I Am In My Early 60's. My Other Half Is "oops" Younger. What Does A Couple Need To Be Comfy On The Road, And What Type Of Tow Vehicle Would It Require? I Am Interested In Diesel Pups. Minimum Must Haves, Walk By Bed, Air, Heat, A Usable "head", Sailor Talk For Honey Bucket, Shower-mini Tub, Cooking Area, And Lounging Spot.
Any Help Would Be Appreciated.

Sounds like you need one of the three Diesel pickup choices and a minimum of a 25ft trailer for the walk around bed layout. Everythig else on your list is standard on Airstreams. Go to an Airstream dealer and check some of the floor plans, I am sure you will find the right combination.

My choice? 34 footer (do they make those with slide-outs?) Ford F-250 Powerstroke. Trouble is I have a Volkswagen budget.

Welcome!

Welcome to the forums! This is the place to ask all questions Airstream!

If you are considering an airstream you might check out this thread ~ it has all kinds of information you might want to think about.
http://www.airforums.com/forum...eam-22920.html

Have you been sailing or motoring the seas? We had a sailboat for over 10 years and loved every minute onboard! No longer on the water, now land sailors... one thing we learned and loved was to find things that one could use for dual purpose! Sailing helps one keep things simple.

Good luck on finding the perfect (for you) Airstream!
