The Beautiful Northwest beckons us to explore!

My wife and I moved out to Oregon in late 2010 and now have decided to explore the beauty of our home and surrounding states. We briefly looked at travel trailers and quickly realized that an Airstream was going to be our only choice. The modern look and simplicity in design appeal to our modern tastes, so with the limits of our tow vehicle in mind, the 22 FB Sport model seemed to fit us best. Our family of three small dogs, Dustin a Silky terrier, Folly an Affenpinscher/Lhasa Apso mix, and our newest rescue Bijou a Pomeranian/Chihuahua/Akita mix love to explore and take walks, so they travel with us everywhere. I found the perfect dog den for them in the front storage area under the front bed of our "Pod". Now we can travel, take photographs, write about our travels, enjoy our pets and have our home away from home comfortable for us all to enjoy. We named our "Pod" ODSCS or odysseys for the travels and experiences we hope to encounter in the coming years. We look forward to meeting other Airstreamers and hearing about their travels.

Bren & Don...

I'm probably too new here to extend a welcome - but Welcome!

I recently acquired a '90 25' Excella that I haven't picked up yet. Spending a lot of time at this - great - forum trying to build a little book learnin'. Here's one thread you don't want to miss:

Many folks willing to share information on their favorite "secret" sites in Oregon.

Cheers,
Poppy

Welcome to the forum and my smile ... I am trying to get a visual on how this occurred ...newest rescue Bijou a Pomeranian/Chihuahua/Akita mix ... isn't the Akita breed about 50 times the size of a Chihuahua ...

The 22 sport likely is the best bang for the buck of all the AS models ! You will really enjoy it.
