The Aschenbrenner's - new to us 2011 Avenue

Hi, We are new to this group but not new to RVing. Been full timing since 2005. It's time to settle down in a senior housing apt but we are not quite ready to stop traveling. That's the reason for the 2011 Airstream Avenue purchase.


Hubby, Lou, was born and raised in Chicago. I was slugging through ND farm life until I graduated H.S. and headed to the big city. We were married in 1987... honeymooned with the Gold Wing and little 2 man tent to Nova Scotia and back in late September. Rained the whole time.



Hubby retired in 2005 and I tagged along. We came out to PNW in our 1988 Champion expecting to be here for a month but never left. We quickly realized that we needed a little bigger class A so in 2007 we bought a 2000 Winnebago Adventurer. Volunteering with BLM, USFS and a Christian construction group kept us busy.



We're still busy but we're slowing down.

Kathy and Lou, welcome to the Airstream community! Sounds like you've had some great adventures already with room for more with your Avenue.

Lou, if you ever get a taste for something "Chicago", Portillo's does ship all over as well as Lou Malnati's (Lou to Go).

Looking forward to getting out to the PNW once this cloud goes away. I'm retiring in a week. Hope to see you on the road someday!

Yes, we miss the real Chicago hotdogs and having GOOD Chicago pizza on every corner. I had not thought about shipping hotdogs and pizza out here...

I have not heard of specific AS club for class b's.
