Thank you for helping with e-bay listing!!

Thanks to all the kind members of this forum who quickly responded to my plea about the renovated Globetrotter on e-bay this past week. The listing expired today (June 7) with the resevre not met. I think it went up to something like $17,000 and change.

Funkill, Yhottys and Nuvite-F offered valuable advice and I listened. Based on what you said, I wrote the seller asking a question I never would have known without this forum...."is the axle original"...I also asked if I could contact the person storing the unit for the owner, in a previous e-mail she said it was a former Airstream officer in CA ask more questions since the unit was in this woman's possession.

I never heard from this owner again...but it is her loss as I was willing to pay a good price. I lost the Globetrotter but found that Airstreamers are a great group and I hope sometime in the future to meet you in person...thanks so much...Susan in Sarasota

Hi flamingo;
Don't be disapointed about to have not get your dream Airstream on Ebay...
For the story, I've made a blog about "how to import an Airstream in France" and that , since i have known adventures to find my Airstream dream... with dealers, classifieds and... Ebay !
From these experiences, ONE of my great advices on the blog, written in red, is DON'T BUY ON EBAY !!!!!
Why ? because most of time, the Airstreams sold there are there, 'cause they are not sold on classic classifieds; The short time to decide you (auction 7 or 10 days) don't let you time to have a good view and time to think.
Descriptions are rarely perfect and problems are hidden ( see articles on Aistream life about Ebay); no way to see the trailer before buying but hopefully, you can refuse to pay when you are in front of, after ...
There are so many reasons to not buy on Ebay so DON'T BUY.
See classified on this site... by exemple...

This is only my point of view...
