Those square streams are rare and very cool. I know we have some members here that have them.
While I cannot answer your question I can give you a lead to follow. Inland RV's owner Andy laid out the proper way to paint an Airstream in another thread.
You can try the search function or just PM him direct for the info.

Yes, we have courtesy parking for you. About an hour North of Los Angeles.
I have a '86 32'er square Argosy,never been repainted as far as I can tell. I also have pics in my profile gallery. Scroll page up to top>click on "forums" beside portal (top left) >scroll down to trailer names>click links to squarestreams,some info there! Jiminni ('89 squarestream) is on those threads too.
