Thank you forum Airstreamers for sharing your knowledge, mistakes, and road wisdom with us newbies. We have learned a lot from your posts!! As long time Bambi enthusiasts we have finally taken the plunge and Sport 16 is on order. We Jack, Linda and (our 85 pound dog) Amos have a long history of summer backpacking and canoe camping in a 2 person pup tent and winter camping in 2 person mountain tent which is to say we a accustomed to living small. By comparison the Sport seems like an exoctic palace that can fit into most campgrounds and gasp ... a bathroom, hot and cold water, a bed, a table, Ac and Heat and a kitchen- goodby freeze dried meals and we are living high .. a foot and a half off the cold wet ground! The factory is adding rock guards, a second battery, and backup camera. We listened to you and in the spirit that “preparation heightens anticipation” we have started to outfit the soon to be delivered bambi.
