son-in-law of an AS owner

Well my mother and father-in-law just bought a 71 caravel. They want me to work on the inside and out to get it looking good. So, I am here to get all of the knowledge that I possibly can so I can help them make the caravel into a very nice trailer that they can be proud of. Hope to learn alot.

Josh

Welcome!

Josh, Please help yourself to any info and any knowledge that you find in the posts on our little Forum. We will try to help you with any questions you have. As a future A/S owner you need to glean as much knowledge and expertise on repair and maint. of an Airstream as is possible. Please use the search function to find answers already provided by the members and ask all the questions you want answers for! Remember the only dumb questions are those not asked. Oh yeah, that comment about future Airstream owner was because once it gets in your blood you are hooked. There is no cure for Aluminitis! Happy Trails, Ed

Well maybe when my kids are gone the wife and I might. Hopefully by then I will have been able to put that V8 in my Ranger that would be able to pull it. I have plenty of time until then ( my youngest turns 2 Aug 2nd). They are pretty neat setups.

Hi Josh,
Welcome to the forums. I hope when you get finished, the in-laws will let you borrow the Caravel and take the kids camping with it. Don't wait til they are grown and gone - take them with you! Besides being a blast and giving them some great memories - you and your wife may really appreciate the time you spend together later in life when they are gone!
