Hello from Michigan
We joined on 9/11/2001. Went to a region 4 rally in Ohio. That was friendly and welcoming but way too formal. One send caravan off small rally. This is my size group and just as friendly and welcoming. That's our extent of airstream group camping. Been campers since the 70s. From an army shelter half through tents and truck caps then trailers. First came a 1974 25ft trade wind. While using the Tradewind, we saved many airstream trailers from being scrapped out. Mostly found, did running gear and lights went through DMV and got a good title, then sold at a modest price to some new owners intending to make it their own. Most people want a good title and towable for a starting point.

Now we just want to use our current 1999 27ft safari. We are experienced rustic boondockers with solar power. Mi UP, Canada, music festivals.

We almost never have needed reservations.

Now we need to learn more about the modern RV ways and procedures for securing a place to drop the truck and trailer. Hopefully use the sidecar rig for local sightseeing.

We are thinking of February 2020 as our first south west trip. Not really sure where to escape to from the tip of the mit in Michigan.
Where, when, what to see and do. Events? Might not even bring the sidecar on the first trip keeping it simple for the beginning.

We would love to learn from you.
Thank you
John and Cynthia
