Re-introduction after a year long absence

Hi all,

About a year ago I introduced my wife and myself, to this wonderful group. Unfortunately, "Uncle Sam" once again required my services (on short notice) over in the sand boxs of the Middle East. I am glad to be back and look forward to a lot of family time, especially spending time with our newest member of the family - my infant daughter, and some tinkering time on the the ol' silver gal, all the while contemplating what I am going to do when I finally retire. I want to thank those you who replied to my first post for your support, particlulary, those veterans who have preceded me in service.

My initial post June of 06,

My wife and I just bought a 31 1978 Airstream Soverign and will slowly but surely be migrating into the life style. After years of excursions to the far off sand boxes of the M.E., I look forward to taking my wife on excursions of a domestic nature. We will definitely be looking for information on upkeeping our Airstream, and down the road modifying the interior ...... as she is no fan of the 70's decor, as I am! Any advise will be very welcome.

We look forward to many interesting conversations and new experiences as we intergrate into the Airstream community. Thanks.

Welcome back! The sand box over there isn't nearly as friendly as the sand box we play in right here. I work in a PM shop on Ft Monmouth that has a lot of guys and gals in theater, it's always nice to see/hear someone come home.

Thank you!

I want to say thanks for your service. As a Vietnam Vet I know personally what it means not to hear those words. It was something that was not said to us for many years. However your service is appreciated by those of us who have fought for our country as we know the many sacrifices that our troops endure when faced with fighting in a foreign land and missing the family left behind. I hope the new addiction for Aluminum takes over and soon you can travel the country that you have defended and enjoy the American freedom that your service has given us all. Happy Trails, Ed

You just can't get enough thanks for the service you've given our country, but here are more from a pair of forum Airstream addicts. We are so thankful that you've returned safely to the heart of your family. Happy trails! ~G
