We have been settled on an Airstream Classic for the past several months. We have been reading all the forum posts. Watching hours of YouTube videos. Studying trucks and today we made the commitment.
First the truck. I was quite confident I wanted a Dodge Ram and
a Hemi. No need for the diesel.
A few months ago we stumbled upon a late in the year 2019 Ram 2500 Longhorn with a 410:1 drive, we bought it. That was the first step.
Last night on a whim my wife did a search on google best air stream dealers and Tampa Florida popped up. We called.
We told them our desired interior for a 30RBQ and was stunned to find out all interiors were no longer available except the white. We do not want the white. WE spoke with Eneida and she made a call. Turns out White is now the only available interior until Airstream announces new interiors. Eneida called Airstream to confirm but Tampa Airstream said they could still order our desired interior. I gather each dealership is given an allotment because two other dealerships we were working with could not order anything but white.
So, today we ordered our Airstream 30' Classic, Queen bed, Mocha Cherry cabinets, Sandalwood counter tops and, Chestnut leather.
June is the expected delivery
Sell home in the fall.
Full time from that point on, for who knows how long.
Funny, we moved 18 times in my Navy career, we have been in this home since 2012. We are ready to move, again.
