Smile Professional Airstream Lurker

Tomorrow, at precisely 2pm, we will be the very proud, very weary owners of a 2017 22' Sport: the larger, longer, leaner Bambi (LLLB)

Why weary? My wife and I have been "lurking"on the air forums for about 4 long years. (Does that break any records?) I've also probably read almost every single post about late model AS's on the forum. I haven't posted or asked any questions because we didn't yet OWN an AS, or had yet to decide on a specific model or year. During that time, we've owned other new and used SOB's and traveled about 18,000 miles camping and gone through 4 new TV's. We've looked at almost every model of new AS's available, along with many older models, some stripped and some in "original" condition. We put a deposit on a 2014 28' FC and then for various reasons couldn't come to an agreement on price and/or availability from that particular dealer. YES, we are weary, but REALLY glad to have finally made a decision on an AS!! We now DO know what we want, but it took many months, miles and campgrounds to sift through all that.
I have a LONG list of modifications and changes to make to the LB (Large Bambi) and will probably began ripping it (sorry-HIM) apart as soon as he gets settled in front of the shop tomorrow. (The threat of a warranty doesn't scare me. ) I will post as much as possible, with juicy photos of course.
Looking forward to this next adventure with gusto and excitement. And a BIG thanks to ANY and ALL who ever posted to the forums! I have learned from every snarky, detailed or informative one and am not one bit ashamed to have wasted so much time lurking!

Congrats... and empathy for falling under the spell....

After 4 years on this forum, once you camp a week or so, you will have a nice list of 'improvements'...

Meet Bertolini; his friends call him Bertie. Pulled by his impeccable, truly awesome man-servant; Jeeves. Jeeves, with an incredible IQ, stamina and wit, is in a class all his own. 😋 [emoji108]
