Picking up next week

Hello,

We are picking up our new to us Airstream next week, a 25 foot Safari, and come this summer it will serve as a full time home for my wife and I plus our dog and two cats.
We have “weekended” in our Rpod through this past spring, summer and fall and decided we want to live as we camp!
Looking forward to learning Airstream specific tips and troubleshooting.

Welcome Aboard!! 🥂👍

When you 'pick it up' don't go far, camp in it on the dealer lot overnight, ask a LOT of ???? and make SURE you go thru everything. Take vid's as things are being explained. Ask if the trailer has been weighed. Confirm proper weight distribution with measurements, dealer should be able to go thru it with you. 👍

Sweet Streams

Bob

Private Sale, previous owners bought a bigger Airstream, all work and maintenance done at Airstream dealer, full
records etc. Thank you for the tips though, sellers are giving us a full walk through and systems check:

Welcome to the Airstream owner's community and these Air Forums. I believe you will find a wealth of information about your Safari here. Take some time to learn to navigate the forums.

We have owned an Airstream since 05, and our current 86 Limited has been in the family since new. Airstreams become heirlooms so to speak. I enjoy the vintage Airstream hobby that means I work on them more than I travel in them. Oh well, to each his own.

It sounds like you prefer traveling in your trailer and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Missouri is a pretty state with lots of places to camp and hike.

Check & double check everything done by the dealer.
Ask questions about everything your unfamiliar with, I would still video all questions & answers.👍

Thank you for the advice; the owners are going to walk us through everything and provide all the documentation for completed maintenance etc.
