Picked up my trailer today! a '67 Globetrotter

I think I got a GREAT deal. After searching for about 6 months, I found an ad on Craigslist. I was the first to respond and went to see it 15 minutes later.

I paid $3,000 for a vintage '67 with a great shell. It is basically gutted as I bought it from a promotional company. It was used in 2008 on a nationwide tour for a brand called SoyJoy. I'll have to share photos. It is currently a "lounge" with "couches" on either end and fur on the walls LOL! It's perfect for my soon to be 8 year olds birthday party/sleepover.

It came with a new bulldog jack, a canopy and a rock/window protector upfront. However, all of the windows are plexiglass so I need to replace them. We plan to camp this summer at the beach (we'll put a fridge in it, bbq outside, etc.) Then, we'll figure out how we are going to renovate this thing. I'm so excited. I've always wanted an Airstream!

I'm loving this forum and learning a ton! Just wanted to say "hi".

Sounds like a fun camper already! I bet your son loves playing in there.
Pictures will be fun to see.
It's not worth doing if you're not having fun.

Congrats on the Airstream. You will find answers to most any question you will have here on the forums. The windows are curved and the only source I know of for the curved glass is Inland RV. I had plexi in all my windows and after installing glass and new gaskets all the leaks were stopped.
