Picked it up, so far so good

Got the 19ft SE yesterday. Put on hitch with sway and brake controller (Prodigy) and drove home. No problems on the road both of us felt comfortable driving. Now sway with trucks passing. Tundra seems to be a perfect fit for this size trailer.

A few relatively minor workmanship problems which I'll discuss with the dealer when I take it in for routine service. Quality of most components seems good though with more automatic stuff than I'd like--duotherm temperature control, sink with filter and battery?, automatic measurer of levels in water, waste and battery. Violates the KISS principle.

It's striking that on such a expensive quality unit that some of the fittings are so cheap!?

But that's the way it is and we are reasonably pleased and delighted to have it.

Will give it a try for a night or two this week.

Congrats! I hope you enjoy your new home-away-from-home! It's a shame they make them so complex now. Our 68 is very KISS! It has just the stuff you need, and nothing you don't. It's served it's owners well for 38 years now. The factory should think about why we love these simple, lightweight old trailers and apply it to the new ones they're making.

Where did you get it at? I see you're way up in the north end of WA. Otherwise I'd say you should head down to Newport, OR for your first forum rally. Once you start, you'll be hooked!

Got it at Great American in Fife--the closest to us. Unable to make the Newport thing but perhaps next one in the region.
