Owner of a 1967 Airstream Caravel in Pensacola
Hi everyone. My husband and I are getting started on the renovation of our 1967 Airstream Caravel, that has been in the family since the late 80's. It belonged to my parents, then went to my sister and her husband and then to my brother and his wife, and now to us. No one in the family has really put a whole lot of new touches on it. Everything is still original inside, and from what my brother has said operating and functioning. We just brought it back from Kansas and we pulled it to Pensacola a couple of days ago. I would love to get a copy of the owners manual. I dont need an original, however a scanned copy in pdf would be awesome. Write me if you know of anyone who would be willing to sell a copy. I look forward to posting pics of the renovation from beginning to finish, and to chatting with the rest of the group. Linda and Mike in Pensacola.

Looks like Lee has all the relevant pages there. Unfortunately in the manual the Caravel is the exception to everything, and only a few pages mention it directly. Almost every paragraph says something like 'except 17ft models'.
Congrats on your family heirloom. I think Caravels are the best layout of all the little Airstreams. They have flexibility and feel roomy inside, especially the spacious bathroom. Ours is mostly original inside as well, but with a few modern touches to make it a bit more practical for modern camping.
Good luck!

Welcome to the forums. If you have a chance, you should head over to the "CanOpener" rally at Topsail State Park in January 6-8. There is a thread here about it, and one of the days they will be having an open house with trailer tours. I bet you would be able to get a ton of questions answered as well as meet a great group of Airstreamers.

Hi Craig and Carol, I will definitley check out the "canopener." I don't think the camper is ready for a debut, but it will be interesting to check out. Mike and Linda

Hi Linda and Mike,
Nice trailer. I like the spare tire caddy.
