Welcome to the forums. I know just how you feel. We are in the throughs of finalizing a deal on our first Airstream and plan to pick it up Memorial Day week end.

My advise: enjoy!

How very exciting! We can recall our "Shake Down Cruise" two years ago. We took it easy, kept it simple and went to Rusk State Park, rode the train, learned so much about our unit in just two days and came home excited and ready to venture out on a longer trip. Have fun out there next weekend and welcome to the Forums. Everyone here is so very helpful.

Congratulations! It's a great feeling, isn't it? I'm betting you'll probably end up spending a night in it before you even leave your driveway.

Welcome aboard

Also new to AS. Congratulations and good luck.

Things not to forget on your first trip. First aid kit, warm clothes for chilly evenings, multiple sets of keys for your TT & TV, camera, and a rag (to wipe the smile off your face). Have a great first trip.

Rick

Ditto on that one......we went to register our trailer last Friday and my son and I decided to take it for a cruise down the interstate to see how it handled--(like a dream, of course!)......That was my exact words to him....."I can't wipe the smile off my face!!"

Welcome! You've come to a nice place. Nice name tincan4us!
If you are new to camping (these are nice even if you are experienced) there are some wonderful arrival/departure/what to take with you checklists from forum members. You can use the search function above.
The Arrival and departure lists are nice to help us on our first trips out to remember what to do step by step, wish I'd known that on the first time out with our first Airstream.
Here's a great start what to pack list by Road King Moe--the whole thread is great really.
