Hello,
My wife and I bought a 1991 23’ Classic with Excella trim, in August. From what have found it may have been the only 23’ Classic ever built.
The trailer was special ordered by Frank and Vivian Sargent. Frank organized and lead the first two caravans across China. Frank also invented the porta potties used in trailers.
We have all the documents including the letter ordering the trailer, build sheets, blueprints, and repair records. The trailer also has the commemorative China Clipper badge riveted next to the door.
We hope to have it on the road this year once we get it titled, the vin plate is missing. Airstream is going to inspect it in early spring, and if they can verify that it is Frank Sargents, they will replace the original vin plate.

The trailer was taken down to Florida and renovated. The main changes consisted of removing the full bed and replacing it with an L shaped couch that pulls out to a full bed. The original couch was removed and replaced with a U shaped sitting area with a table, that converts to another full bed.
