On the way to pickup our FC25

An introduction and thank you. We're on our way to Colonial from Denver to pickup our FC25 RB. For the past few years I had a Camp-Inn 560 tear drop camper that was great but with the addition of extra camera and multirotor flying gear simply ran out of storage space.

So last fall on a PacNW trip saw the first dealer that was 100% AS in Covington, WA, ASNorthwest. Pulled off the road and spent an hour or so on a whim and got hooked. Working my way back to Denver I hit a couple other dealers. But being able to see nearly all models at one spot was invaluable. For folks looking it is worth the time and effort to make a trip to a large dealership or show to see everything.

Got home and put the Camp-Inn up for sale and like AS's it sold quickly. Did some shopping and ordered the FC25 from Patrick at Colonial. Working with Pat was easy, straight forward and no BS time wasting. I've been asked why I would drive that far. Shoot it's a trailer for traveling so why not travel to get it. Benefit is going to the factory for the tour on Monday and we get to see family in Dayton on the way.

Thanks to all of the folks that post here where I've gotten great ideas. Lewster, Pharmageek, Sean from ProPride and countless others through their posts helped immensely on decisions and ideas. Sincere thanks to all.

Currently in St Louis eastbound, Dayton tonight, factory tomorrow, NJ on Tuesday and pickup on Wednesday.

Best of luck with your new Airstream! We were impressed by Colonial so much that we bought our first Airstream there last year. We loved that 23FB but decided that the 25FB would be so much better for our needs, so traded up with Colonial by phone and took the trade down there last month. We plan on picking up the new trailer this Spring. Can't wait! We thought dealing with Colonial is worth the almost 10 hour trip from Maine. Nice people! Have fun and drive safely.

Their service, price and personality is what makes them them the number one dealer year after year. Just look at their inventory, they are courageous to carry so many models. We all eventually buy from them sometime in the near future.

That is a Base Camp.
It is not new, and they have discontinued production.

Gary, that's an old item, an Airstream Base Camp. A motorcycle carrier and camper that did not sell well (expensive) but is probably destined to be a hard-to-find classic. Maybe it is already.

Good to know. It was pristine and shiny. What years were they produced?

Don, the factory guide, thinks this is a 2005 unit.

So they made it longer than I thought.
I have never seen one in person.
Maybe I will when we go to Jackson Center.
