On the move from Anacortes WA

Hi everyone we are Don & Ora Jonasson from Anacortes WA. Last spring we purchased a 25" 89 Excella. We have done a few break in trips in the Pacific Northwest but are planning a major trip across the continent to the Northeast and beyond in September. Our trailer is basically in good condition and appears to have been lightly used but anything old and used is synonymous with "tinkertoy". But most of my vehicles are old and used, including the 93 Dodge 350 Cummins tow vehicle, and I am on the fast track to learning our new old vehicle.

Looking forward meeting some of you an the road,

Don & Ora

Hi Don & Ora:
I'm just up the road from you in Ferndale.
Nothing wrong with old and used; more the reason to decorate to taste and experiment.
I basically use mine as a get-away studio/hang out.
You're welcome to drop by for coffee/tea or what -ever

Is there an event occuring in August near Anacortes WA involving Airstreams?

Hi all. I live on Vancouver Island and heard from a neighbor that there is some sort of swap meet or other event scheduled for early August near Anacortes WA.
I have a 1980 Airstream motor home and would be interested in knowing more.
If anyone can fill me in I would try to attend.

we are planning to be at your doorstep

We are planning and preparing to leave July 14th enroute to Orcas Island. Where we are to stay at West Beach resort on the island..So this entails a ferry ride from Anacordes

We have reservations for five nights (beginning Jul 26).. Anyone had any experience in traveling to Orcas with an Airstream? Apparently it can be done as there was an article in the NY Times, travel section, about a woman who did precisely this.

We have traveled via the ferry from Port Townsend to Whidbey Island, so no difference…i think the ferries might be smaller on the SJ Island routes????

Cost I think is close to $400 for a round trip?

So a trip to Clovis NM Pueblo Co then into wyoming, montana, idaho and across the beautiful state of washington.

We (we think?) we want to move to Orcas and decide what to do with the rest of our lives.

so possibly we can meet up when we are in the area…this to all that are in the area.
