Not Yet Retired
My wife and I have been camping for most of our 43 years of marriage but have had an airstrem for just the last 8 years or so. We enjoy taking 3 and 4 week trips when time permits. Our home camping base is Fall Creek Falls State Parke near Pikeville, TN. Our two boys grew up there. Two years ago we joined the Top of Georgia WBCCI unit based in an Airstream only park at Helen, GA. That club is a fine group of folks. Wish we could spend more time there. Oh, well, two more years to retirement.
We pull out '84 31' International with a Garnet Red/Gray 2002 Dodge Ram 4x4 with Cummins Diesel engine.

Welcome, and greetings -
Page and I have just (mostly) retired and heartily recommend it. We also share your views of Fall Creek Falls and look forward to returning. Thanks for the reminder.

tnsawdust,
Welcome to the forum. I'm just north of you in Tullahoma. I hope you can make some of the informal rallys we have in April and October, usually in Georgia.

New in Nashville (Randy)
Hi Sam and Glenna
I look forward to running into yau'll on the trail. I've been able to spend sometime in Young Harris Ga. and what a beautifull area of the country that is, as is Chattanooga.
Seasons Greetings

Homesick now...
Ok...you guys have made me homesick now.
My mom grew up in Pikeville, TN. I used to go on the Trail Ride Campouts in August on Summer Vacation as a kid before Fall Creek Falls State Park was even very developed.
My cousin is married to the golf pro there at the park now.
I have two RT tickets on Southwest Airlines that I need to use....I may have to go "home" for Christmas now....no time to drag the trailer.....but oh well....there is no place like the Sequatchie Valley on earth, and my two aunts living there will be thrilled.....better go make my reservations.

Sam & Glenna,----the heck with 2 more years---go for it now!!!!! If you can't make it now 2 more won't help. We've been married 44 years. I can tell you from experience you both need it. I don't know you folk but would bet dollars to donuts these thoughts have gone through your minds. We retired at 62 and don't regret it for a moment. Even if you wait it will be here before you know it. ------ Pieamn & Alamode
