Not so new members

Hi all,

Joy and I have been members for a while but have been busy reading the forums rather than writing. We have owned a 2004 Classic for about three years now and love it.

We are about to remove the carpet and install new flooring and would like to thank all of you who are sharing your ideas and pictures, especially RoadToaster. We will supply pictures when we are done with the project.

Can't imagine traveling in anything other than an Airstream.........

Congratulations on "coming out" on the Forums. Can't wait to see photos of your floor project.

New Floor In '87 34' Excella 1000

Don and Joy,
I am 99% done with the floor replacement in our "new" old trailer. It had worn ugly 80's era mauve capret and while we were cleaning the interior when we brought it home last fall I lifted a section of the carpet to check on the condition of the sub-floor. Well one thing lead to another and soon all the carpet was up. The sub-floor was pristine, no evidence of any rot or leaks. A few years ago we remodeled our non-mobile home and had just enough left over laminate floor planks to do the trailer. All that is left its to put in shoe molding and I hope to have that done this Sunday. Mother nature here in the northeast has thrown me a few curve balls which has kept me out of the trailer.

Here is a link to the thread where I have the pictures posted.

Remember to post pictures of your new floor.
