I wanted to share pictures of my *new* Airstream. It's a 1992 21' Sovereign. I'm the 3rd owner. Prev owners took wonderful care of his and her much-loved AS, they owned it for many years. Only had it out a few times, and decided to sell due to health problems. It's like new inside, clean and all systems work. (PO had it all up/running for check-out. Recently packed brakes.) It has a solar charger system too. Came with a WD hitch. My neighbor has given me an anti-sway bar that I'll need to have installed.

WOW. I have so much to learn!

Tires are Goodyear Marathons, but may be the originals? PO never changed them. I think I'll be replacing them with Maxxis E (after reading all the tire threads).

It has sat out in the NM sun most of its life. Last winter the PO put a tarp over it due to fear of hail damage. The top now has dark scuff marks. Any advice? It has a few dings, too. I'll call them beauty marks.

I know how the airforums people like pictures, so I've included several. Thanks to RoadRuler for all the help/advice, and Blu_Hwy_Lady for the tour of her AS, and LucyPepper's Airstream breakup thread. It was the boost I needed to go ahead and buy this!

Welcome, beautiful rig. You will have many happy memories. We have only had ours a year and have truly enjoyed all the trips we have made. And looking forward to many-many more.

A very desireable unit. You don't seet he 21' Sovereigns come up for sale that often. Great find.

Congrats! Those are very desirable trailers - short, two axles, relatively lightweight - and finding a decent one at a reasonable price is a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. Good luck and enjoy the "new" trailer!

I hope you enjoy your travels in your Sovereign 21'

We just took our first short trip with our "new" '94 Sovereign 21'. In many small ways it is superior to the '99 Bambi 19' that we've used for the last 3-1/2 years.

I spent over a year looking for the Bambi, wasn't looking for another Airstream when I accidently encountered the Sovereign, it was too nice to pass up!

Thanks for the nice compliments on our new Airstream.

I've found MaxxisE tires at Discount Tire for $98 each ($15 mounting fee), and will be replacing these ancient Marathons before we take any trips. They had Marathons for $115 but the guy couldn't say if they were still made in China or not. When I get the tires changed out, the store has a pull-in bay at the back so it'll be easy for me to get the AS backed in. (Famous last words.)

Will also be buying a set of Tow-n-See flat mirrors. Found them for $27 each at an RV place here in Albuquerque.

Now I want to build an Airstream Carport for it. Hmmmm I bet there are threads on that. ???
