Noob question

Hi all,

First, I've owned an Airstream (21' Sovereign) for 16 years, so I'm only a noob on this forum.

I'm in the process of searching for a larger trailer and every so often I see one listed as not being self-contained. I thought all modern Airstreams are. Can someone enlighten me on why a newer (1990 onward) Airstream wouldn't be self-contained?

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

The only recent Airstream that I am aware of that did not come from the factory as fully self-contained is the Base Camp.

There are probably some others that were rendered that way by imaginative prior owners.

Thanks Brian,

I wondered if it was just a case of malfunctioning/missing equipment. I boondock a lot and can't be dependent on hookups.
